HOPE - LOYALTY - COUNTRY - HONOR - DUTY

We remember the South Vietmese soldiers who gave their lives serving their country, from Bến Hải River-where North and South Vietnam was divided to Cà Mâu-the southern tip of Vietnam. We also forever indebt to the men and women who answered the call of Republic of Vietnam to  serve in every facet of its government to build and maintain one of the most civilized society.

From the fall of the Republic of Vietnam in April 1975 until the early 1990’s, an estimated 800,000 Vietnamese made their way by boat or by foot crossing neighboring borders, trusting to luck on the open sea, fending off pirates, storms, starvation, and good will of passing ships and nations, to find new free countries sympathetic to their plight. According to the U.N. High Commission for Refugees, another 200,000 to 400,000 Vietnamese boat people perished at sea. We will not again lose the memories of those unfortunate souls; their losses will not be in vain.

To ensure the memory of these brave Vietnamese and their sacrifice will never fade, the Next Vietnam Projects organization has been working energetically with their families, friends, and colleagues to preserve their stories.
